Account & security

Your sign-in, two-factor authentication, running more than one store from one account, and inviting staff.

Your Fehrist login is a global account, not a per-store password. One email and password can own or staff several stores, and you switch between them without signing out.

Signing in

There are two ways into the admin dashboard:

  • Email and password — the account you created during setup.
  • Continue with Google — if your Google address matches an existing account, you land in that account; otherwise a new one is created for you.

If you forget your password, use Forgot your password? on the login screen. The reset link is single-use and expires. Changing your password signs out other sessions, which is the fastest way to cut off a device you no longer control.

Two-factor authentication

Open Settings → Security. Two-factor adds a second step after your password, so a leaked password on its own is not enough to get in. Two methods are supported:

  1. Authenticator app (recommended). Choose Set up authenticator app, scan the QR code with Google Authenticator or any TOTP app, then enter the 6-digit code it shows to confirm. If you cannot scan, the setup screen also shows the key to type in manually.
  2. Email codes. Choose Use email codes instead and the platform emails you a code at each sign-in. Simpler to set up, but only as secure as your inbox.

Backup codes

Confirming an authenticator app produces a set of one-time backup codes. Each one works once, in place of your authenticator, if you lose your phone. They are shown exactly once — save them somewhere outside the store before closing that screen. Settings → Security shows how many remain.

Turning it off

Turning off two-factor requires your current password. If you no longer have your authenticator and your backup codes, contact support from the address on the account rather than creating a second account.

Running more than one store

A single account can be attached to several stores — your own, plus any store that invited you as staff. After signing in, if your account has more than one store you are asked which one to open. Once inside, use the store switcher in the top bar to move between them; you do not need to log out and back in.

Each store keeps its own catalog, orders, theme, settings, plan and billing. Nothing is shared between stores except your identity.

Inviting staff

Open Settings → Users and access. Only the store owner can invite or remove staff.

  • Enter the person's email and send the invitation. It expires after seven days.
  • Invitations count toward your plan's staff limit — see pricing for the number included on each plan.
  • If the email is slow to arrive, use Copy invite link and send it yourself.

The team table shows each member's role and status. Remove access signs a staff member out everywhere and blocks further access, but keeps their history in your audit trail — removing someone never rewrites who did what. Owners cannot be removed this way.
